ABOUT GAVIN

Gavin is a New York City-based writer and director originally from the Midwest. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, he holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television. He is a Crystal Pillar Award Winner from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and has been a finalist at several festivals, including the All American High School Film Festival, Milwaukee Film Festival’s Youth Show, and Lake Country Film Festival.

Gavin loves to work across genres–particularly Drama, Horror, and Comedy–and is especially passionate about LGBTQ+ and Latino representation. His ultimate goal as a filmmaker is to connect with audiences through emotionally resonant narratives.

His most recent short, TOXIC, is an LGBTQ coming of age drama that explores unhealthy relationships, and whether we are to hang on or let go. The film is currently in post-production. Gavin currently works as a freelance editor in Brooklyn.
